FAQs for J1s!
Hi J1s! =) We've compiled a special list of FAQs just for you, as well as how to join JCC! If your question can't be found inside, do feel free to email us at hwachongjcc@gmail.com, or simply tag on the tagboard! FAQs Q: What do we do at JCC? A: We have an alternate week plan whereby we will have fun activities (cooking, yukata-wearing, ikebana, taiko, movie-screenings, origami etc etc) one week and Japanese lessons conducted by your very own seniors the other! =) =) Q. Do I need to be able to understand and speak Japanese to join JCC? A: Nope, that's not a requirement at all! Our only condition is that you are interested in the Japanese culture. The Japanese lessons are actually split into two classes, the beginner and the intermediate so that you can learn at your own pace! =) Q. What days are JCC on? A: JCC sessions are held once a week, every Tuesday from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. =) Q. Can I join more than one CCA? A: Yes, you can. =) The school advises a maximum of 2 CCAs though. Q. Can JCC be a first CCA? A: Yes, JCC can be a first CCA, or a second CCA as well, depending on how many CCAs you are taking. Q. What is the attendance requirement for JCC? A: We require a 75% attendance rate, or else you risk getting removed from JCC o.O Q. I am unable to attend the trial session on Tuesday; can I still join JCC? A: Yes, that won't be a problem. All you have to do is email us your name, class, contact number and email address and indicate that you wish to join. And the most IMPORTANT ONE! Q. How do I join JCC? A: You may indicate your interest to us during Tuesday's trial session, or simply send us an email at hwachongjcc@gmail.com indicating your wish to join JCC and leave your name, class, contact number (preferably handphone) and email address. It's that simple! =) The venue for the trial session will be confirmed asap, so please do check back at this blog often, or your emails or handphones! =) If you have any further enquiries, do feel free to email us at hwachongjcc@gmail.com!
