Sado and Ikebana (Part I)
Sado (茶道): Japanese Tea Ceremony a.k.a the Way of Tea, involving the ceremonial preparetion and presentation of maccha (抹茶). Tea gatherings (茶会)is a relatively simple course of hospitality that includes the services of confections, thin tea (薄茶), and sometimes a light meal (点心). Another classification of tea gathering, 茶事, is a more formal gathering, which usually includes a full-course meal, followed by confections, thick tea and thin tea. This usually lasts up to 4 hours.

Ikebana (生け花):Flower Arrangement
A disciplined art form bringing nature and humanity together. Often emphasizes areas of the plant, such as its stems and leaves, and draws emphasis toward shape, line, form.
